Teresa M. Cornell, age 62, of Janesville, WI, formerly of Argyle, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
She was born on December 2, 1961, in Genoa, IL, the daughter of Arden and Kathryn Cornell. Teresa grew up in Argyle, where she graduated from Argyle High School. She later earned an associate degree in Culinary Arts from Blackhawk Technical College.
Teresa dedicated 40 years to Swiss Colony in Monroe, where she worked as the line lead in the bakery department. Outside of work, she enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, gardening, and fishing. She especially treasured spending time with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
She is survived by her siblings, Mike (Norma) Cornell and Rhonda Prestwood; and several nieces and nephews whom she adored. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Linda Cornell; and her brother, Tracey Cornell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.

Teresa was a very passionate co worker at the Colony. She always took pride in her work. Working with her was enjoyable. She had a very caring soul when it came to family. She always looked forward to visiting her sister in DeKalb’s who had Alzheimer’s & also the little ones she enjoyed spending time teaching them how to cook. I will always remember her heart of gold. Teresa you will definitely be missed. A soul gone way too soon. 😪
