Sarah Denu age 56, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on Monday, May 19th from complications of heart failure. She was born to Brenda Nordstrom on March 3, 1969.
Sarah's life began with a courageous act of love, her birth mothers decision to choose adoption. She was raised by her adopted parents, Algie and Janice Denu in Mazomanie Wi.
In May of 1988, she was united in marriage to Scott Buttchen. Though their paths later diverged, they remained connected through the family they created. Through recent years, they found a friendship they both deeply cherished and valued.

She built a meaningful relationship with both Brenda and her husband, Terry (Bloop) Nordstrom. They quickly became a beloved part of Sarah's life and a very important presence for her children and grandchildren.
Besides her children and grandchildren, Sarah's pride and joy was Tucker, her tea cup yorkie. Tucker was her heart and soul, accepting that they would no longer be together was difficult, but she found peace knowing he would now be raised by her beloved friend, Scott. The family would like to thank the staff at UW Hospital in Madison for the excellent care Sarah received while she was there. She touched many lives while there and made friends with those that cared for her. The family is deeply thankful for them all.
