Memories of Aunt Ida are always surrounded by love and faith. She took us, Augie, Debbie, and me, under her wing and held us tight through our entire childhood. She was just a trusty anchor during our turbulent childhood. I remember days out at the farm where I would just follow her around doing whatever she was doing. We would weed the garden, pick both vegetables and flowers, hangout laundry, wean the calves in the bar. I had more than one pail of milk upended over my shirt. It was all such a peaceful idyllic time. I loved Ida’s strong faith and eternal optimism. She loved life and was afraid of nothing. She was a true force of nature. I will cherish every memory I have of her. Love and Thank You. Jody (Bruehlman) Welton

So many memories of Aunt Ida. She sent such nice letters W/scripture enclosed. In spite of any pain Aunt Ida was so cheerful & upbeat. I'll never forget when she wanted mom & I to stop @ the farm when baby Tonya was born so we did. Then the times Ida called mom @ the N.G. condo. & would talk into the answering machine if mom was gone & declare who she thought was gonna win the Kentucky Derby. I always laughed. Ida's faith was truly an inspiration to others around her. May her family move forward with peace. Linda Dieckhoff
