Randall, "Randy" Tollakson

Randall "Randy" L. Tollakson age 54 of rural South Wayne, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 27th, 1970, to H. Eugene Tollakson and Mary Ellen Tollakson at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe, WI. Randy grew up on the family farm in rural South Wayne and attended Blackhawk High School. Following his graduation from high school, he enrolled at Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, WI. Randy honed his skills in Agriculture Mechanics, a passion he would carry throughout his life. Following his education, he dedicated his career to the Tollakson Family Farm where he worked alongside his two brothers. Randy is survived by his two children: Max and Abby Tollakson of Janesville, WI; two brothers: Olen and Scot Tollakson of rural South Wayne and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Brad and Darrell Tollakson. Randy was a proud member of the South Wayne Fire Department and enjoyed the comradery and act of service he provided to his surrounding community. In his free time, Randy enjoyed spending time outdoors riding his 4-wheeler or UTV, taking his children fishing or just enjoying the peace and quiet of the woods. He and his brothers loved working on old cars and tractors and were always tinkering to make improvements on their latest project. As we mourn the loss of Randy Tollakson, let us also celebrate a life well-lived, one characterized by hard work, dedication, and a deep sense of responsibility towards his family and community. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Erickson Funeral Home is Argyle, WI (801 E. Milwaukee St., Argyle, WI 53504). A visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM - 12:45 prior to the service at the Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle. Burial will be held at a later date at the Gratiot M.E.
