My Dear Brother Bob, As I sit here and ponder on our short time together I feel Blessed because so many have not had even half the time we did. We were wild and free in our youth…chasing lightening bugs, fishing with homemade fishing poles made out of branches when our cane poles broke or were left who knows where in the woods. We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister! Playing army with wooden rifles in the valleys that were strewn with a plethora of leaves…. Our dogs played too, all of us running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister! I remember you, Rick and I being acrobats (or so we thought) running from one bedroom to another to do a double flip onto the big bed you and Rick shared on the old farmstead. All while we were supposed to be going to sleep on a school night. We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister! How about our times swimming dodging snapping turtles or catching tadpoles or just picking off the leeches from the yucky creek water (which in our day was a swimming hole). We had no fear of the world around us. We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister. When we were very young…I’m sure you remember when you and Ricky would take my doll buggy for a ride with my baby doll inside. I’m sure it was great fun for you both spinning out with a doll buggy …not so much for me because you always came back without my baby doll and I would cry and cry! Now these memories make me laugh and treasure those earlier years. We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister! Getting booted out of the house so Momma could do some thorough cleaning, which meant once again we’re playing in the woods for hours till we snuck into an old abandoned house that still had a phone and we overheard people talking on the party line that we were being sold to some strangers. We were all soooo worried that we would be separated and it wasn’t us at all but some livestock they were discussing! Learned our lesson there…not polite to eavesdrop! No matter how hard we fought we always had each other’s backs!!! We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister! When you broke your arm playing football in seventh grade, I was devastated. When we came to visit you in the hospital I had to hide in the hall way so you wouldn’t see me cry because tomboys don’t cry. When a girl in school laughed about you being hurt, I had to defend your honor and Mom had to come pick me up and I got in a lot of trouble for fighting that girl. What I didn’t realize till later was that girl had a crush on you and didn’t know how to act because we were at that awkward age of becoming teenagers soon. Again another lessoned learned the hard way! It’s better to just walk away! We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a Brother and a Sister! So when I got my first curling Iron, you were devastated, I finally realized I was a girl...not a tomboy! You and Ricky couldn’t fathom why I would choose to curl my hair and play with makeup, rather than fishing, running, wrestling and having spitting contests. You called me a house plant because I wanted to stay in and talk with girlfriends and do girly things! On the flip side you did like my girlfriends...but we won’t go there lol!!! We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister! Your Love of Football finally won me over to being a Loyal Packer Fan for Life. You asked me why I didn’t care for football and I told you I didn’t understand it. You said all I had to do was ask and you took the time to explain the game to me. That is something I will always treasure because it made football more special for me! We were running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother and a sister! I remember when we lost our Mother (Shirley) we were talking about some memory of Mom and it made us so happy and you grabbed my hand and we ran up the hill smiling and laughing and I know this pleased Mom!!! She always told us to celebrate one’s life don’t mourn when they are gone; but rejoice that you had them even if for a short a time!!! In my heart that is what I think we were laughing and smiling about; we were celebrating her life that day!!! So fitting that Garth Brooks would later write a song that best describes this life lesson…..Life’s a Dance; sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow life’s a dance you learn as you go!!! We were running wild and free. This is a blessing between a brother and a sister! The years flew by but we stayed close and we married our best friends and had beautiful children. Now our children are friends and have a bond very much like ours when we were young! That is an awesome gift to watch our children carry on the tradition of what it means to be a family!!! We are all running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother, sister and families! God has you in his arms now and I know you are at peace. I know you are with Mom so it warms my heart because I know you missed her terribly for many years. Our Mother (Shirley) taught us how to love and to always be forgiving. Because of her we learned how to be humble. She was our David and fought hard for a better life for us and against all odds she did it too!!! Tell Mom I send my love and you both have a great time celebrating your beautiful new life in Heaven, knowing you made it fills my heart with joy!!! We are all running wild and free. This is a Blessing between a brother, sister and families!!! Keep laughing and doing handstands and cheering for the Packers! We will carry on the Packer tradition for you because though you are gone, you will never be forgotten! You are running wild and free and you will always be a blessing to us! Signed with love from your Sassy Sister LuLu

Bob...you are probably one of the most generous people I have known. I cherish all the great and wonderful times our families had when we were all raising our children. The fishing, the camping, the card games, and the times we spent eating Tammy's wonderful cooking when we stayed in your home. I remember at Klondyke when you and Rod took your two wives that were not swimmers, and the 4 kids out in two canoes...LOL...the kids were crying...the looks on Tammy and my face...But I knew if those canoes tipped...you and Rod would have gotten ALL of us back to shore...No one can ever say you didn't love your family...that is for sure.I remember when I paddled out to the raft on the inter tubes you brought...then terrified, I could not get off the raft and back in my tube to get to shore. You saw me out there...swam out..and said "What are you doing?" I said "Bobby I'm scared, I can't get back in my tube" Then you said" I'm going to do a one and a half{dive} then I 'll get you in your tube" That was so special...it was the perfect opportunity to tease me...but you didn't...You were my Hero that day. I love you...Tammy, Crystal, Damien...We are so very sorry for the pain in your hearts. Love you

Bob was my son in Law and I loved him dearly. We used to bet on the packer games as I am a Bears fan and really liked to pick on one another. I will miss Bob very much. Love Arizona Mom.

Prayers to the family during this time. I didn't know much about Bob, I had met him a few times. I am sure he was a wonderful man. I knew his mother and some of his sisters and I could not say enough about such a wonderful family.
