Leona Wiesenburg

Leona M. (Flannery) Wiesenburg, age 75 of Monroe, WI formerly of Monticello, WI passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Country Care Adult Family Home in Monroe. She was born December 4, 1940 the daughter of Wilbur and Marian (Easler) Flannery. Leona graduated from Monroe High School in 1959. She lived in Monticello most of her life. Leona worked at Laidlaw Corporation in Monticello for many years. Leona is survived by one brother: Bernie (Joanne) Flannery of Argyle, WI, nieces and nephews: Rhonda (Steve) Schmid of Orangeville, IL, Ron (Dani) Neuenschwander of Lake Delton, WI, Donna Flannery of South Wayne, WI, Deanna (David) Briggs of Rock City, IL, and Daryl Flannery of Lancaster, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Ricky Weisenburg in 1993, one sister: Betty Neuenschwander in 1979; and one brother: Wilbur Flannery, Jr.Leona was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. She loved biking, working in her garden, and going to the library to fulfill her passion for reading. Leona will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Argyle. For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Leona's name.
