Victoria J. (Beckett) Goebel of Darlington, WI passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at her home. She was born on June 5, 1951 in Dodgeville, WI the daughter of Kenneth J. and Darlene V. (Buckingham) Beckett. Vicki grew up in Dodgeville and then moved to Darlington where she remained. She worked at Merkle Korff Industries in Darlington for over 30 years.Vicki is survived by her mother: Darlene Beckett, Dodgeville, WI; four sons: Tommy (Diane) Goebel of Monroe; Kurt (Dee Dee) Goebel of Dodgeville; Rick, (Fiancé Jennie Andrews) Goebel of Mineral Point and Josh (Nicki) Goebel of Darlington; one brother: Benji Beckett of Dodgeville; three sisters: Linda Beckett of Dodgeville; RoseAnn Beckett of Black Earth, WI; Mary (Gary) Mosley of Rural Darlington; fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and former husband and life long friend: Maynard Goebel of Darlington. She was preceded in death by her father: Kenny and one granddaughter: Amber Rae Gratz.Vicki was a founding member of the Lafayette County Christian Center. She enjoyed gardening, baking and taking care of her flowers. Vicki loved traveling with her friends and sleigh riding with her grandchildren and great grandchildren or anyone else interested. She will always be remembered by her family for her homemade bread and cinnamon rolls and her love for volunteering and helping anyone in need.A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lafayette County Christian Center (11560 Center Hill Rd, Darlington) with Rev. Mark Gilberts officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Lafayette County Christian Center. Burial will be at the Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Vicki's name.

My grandma has always been quite the character, she would make the best of any situation thrown her way and put the most beautiful smile on regardless of what she may have been feeling inside. A few of my greatest memories with her are playing spoons at any family event and singing while she played us a tune on her harp. An amazing daughter, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, friend and so much more. Heaven is in for a treat tonight as one of the most beautiful angels is coming through Gods gates. May each and every star twinkle and may the moon smile as you enter. Always in my heart, never forgotten but always missed. Rest peacefully my grandma, I will see you some day!

Vicki belonged to the Gap Girls, a quartet of prayer warriors that would meet on Sunday mornings before church to stand in the gap for anyone and everyone needing prayer. We will miss her strong faith, her hugs and her laughter. God needed you more Vic. "Just Be Held"....................... Love you girl!!
