Denny was a fabulous guy, he graciously did so much for our community, wether it be monetarily, physically, personally. It did not matter to him who you were, if you needed something he was there. There are just not enough words to say about him other than to say, he was an Angel here and earned his wings and now heaven has one of our best and he was called home to prepare for all of us. I was told a few years ago, when i was going thru horrible pain of losing someone very close to me the priest told me that sometime God has to call the ones least expected to prepare for others to come after them. For some reason that made sense. Denny fits right in there, he worked hard here for us and he will work hard to prepare for us there. My sympathies to Mary Jo and family. GOD BLESS

I'm so sad I cannot be there at this time to say farewell to my teammate, my friend, the spirit of Mineral Point High School class of 1959. Darlington obviously embraced Denny and he reciprocated, but for many of us Pointers, he still belongs to us. So many memories to treasure. Tom Speich Stillwater MN and Indio CA

We have lost a good friend. John and I grieve with you Jo. I wonder if there's golf, bowling, baseball, track in heaven. If there is, Denny is there winning it all! Love, Mary Beth
