Jeanette "Jan" McArdle Heberlein, age 93, of Shullsburg, WI passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI. Jan was born in Shullsburg on May 29, 1922, the daughter of Frederick B. and Ethel M. (Wright) Look. She graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1940.Following her graduation from high school, Jan moved to Chicago, IL where she received her certification as an X-Ray Technician from St. Luke's School of Health. Upon completion of her education, Jan relocated to Indianapolis, IN where she was employed as an x-ray technician. In 1945, Jan was united in marriage to Thomas F. McArdle. Together, they owned and operated several family businesses in conjunction with raising their family. Tom preceded her in death on November 26, 1979. In 1980, Jan began working as a customer service representative with Swiss Colony in Monroe, WI where she remained until her retirement. Jan later married Arnold C. "Arnie" Heberlein in 1990. Jan is survived by her children: William (Karen) McArdle of Galena, IL, Susan (Gary) Weiskircher of Shullsburg, John (Denise) McArdle of Oklahoma City, OK, Betsy (Dieter) Mueller of Houston, TX.; eight grandchildren: Jeff and Kelly McArdle, Jonathan Weiskircher, Stephanie (Thomas) Kunkel, Chance McArdle, Thomas, Stefan and Christoph Mueller as well as four great grandchildren. Jan was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Robert W. Look and her second husband Arnie Heberlein.She was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg and McCann-Richards American Legion Auxilliary Post #105 of Shullsburg. Jan was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with her family. She also took pleasure in doing needle work, cooking, antiquing, reading, fishing and playing Bridge. Jan was a true animal lover and always made sure to support the Humane Society. She looked forward to her daily walks with her dog "Muffy". Jan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered as a caring, loving and beautiful lady. My sympathy to all your family, Susan. I so enjoyed visiting your mom with LouAnn. It always brought memories of my mom, and your mom's beautiful smile when we would talk about when they were young. You were the best a daughter could be and took such wonderful care of her in your home. She had a good life and it is such a blessing to know at the end you did your best. My Sympathy your family. Jan and I rode together to Swiss Colony and continued our friendship even after I moved away from the area. As Jan and I rode together we shared many stories together as this was during the time I was newly engaged and she was getting to know Arnie.
