Tara Lund

Tara H. Lund, age 34 of Davis, IL formerly of Darlington, WI passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 1, 2016 at Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. She was born June 12, 1981 in Monroe the daughter of Brian Lund and Cindy Miller. Tara graduated from Darlington High School in 1999 and later went on to receive a degree in Art Education from UW-Platteville in 2004. She was united in marriage to Cody B. Sullivan on February 17, 2014 in Monroe. Tara grew up in Darlington. After graduating from college she moved to Monroe and began teaching Art at the Juda School District grades K-12. In 2013, Tara began as a graphic artist at Swiss Colony in Monroe. Tara is survived by her husband Cody Sullivan of Davis, IL; her eight month old son: Sullivan Grant Lund at home; her parents: Brian (Diane) Lund of Darlington and Cindy Miller of Brodhead, WI; one brother: Ian Lund of Madison, WI; one sister: Carly (Koller Stettler) Lund of Whitewater, WI; one step-sister: Jessica Hubner; two step-brothers: Cary (Sunny) Hubner and Casey (Rachel Grimm) Hubner; fives nieces and nephews: Hendrix Stettler, Hayes and Nina Hubner, Ella and Ava Griswold; her maternal grandfather: Merlyn Miller of Monroe; and her paternal grandmother: Lynn Lund of Lake Lure, NC. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother: Rosemary Melbye in 2004 and her paternal grandfather: Larry Lund in 2008.Tara took great pride in being a mother and spent as much time with Sullivan as she could. She loved to paint and create art. Tara had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile. Tara loved the theatre and played many roles over the years. She was always willing to get involved in community events and loved to help others. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church (1302 Clay Street, Darlington) with Rev. Craig Simenson officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington) and from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. on Thursday at the church.
