MarJean Andrews, age 85 of Shullsburg, WI passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. She was born August 15, 1930 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Wilda Murray. MarJean graduated from Benton High School. She was united in marriage to Leonard J. "Sonny" Andrews on March 27, 1948 in Dubuque. MarJean grew up in Benton with her grandparents, Ambrose and Laura Murray due to her mother's illness. After her marriage to Sonny they moved to the Shullsburg area where they farmed. MarJean worked at the Shullsburg Home for many years as an aide.MarJean is survived by four children: Dennis (Beverly) Andrews of Minneapolis, MN, Kay Shepherd of Shullsburg, Sharon Eggleston of McFarland, WI, and Lynn (Dan) Schmitz of Rochester, MN; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Joyce (Floyd) Tyson of Shullsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her mother; husband Sonny on May 18, 2008; two sons-in-law: Joe Shepherd and Michael Eggleston; one nephew: Sammy Teasdale; and three brothers and sisters-in-law: Marjorie (Art) Hall, Charlotte (Donald) Teasdale, and Norma (Russell) Hauser.MarJean was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg and its Women's Fellowship Group. She and Sonny were known for their hospitality and their ability to make their family and friends feel very welcome. She enjoyed dancing to Big Band Music, motorcycling with her friends in her younger years, and sharing treats with her children and grandchildren. MarJean was an avid Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Shullsburg Miners, and Milwaukee Brewers fan. She loved to read, crochet, make afghans for her family, friends and donating some of them to the veterans. She also enjoyed spending time outside bird watching. MarJean always looked forward to her Christmas in July in Shullsburg with her family.A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home. To the entire Andrews family, our thoughts and prayers are with you on the loss of your Mom. MarJean was truly something special. My parents adored your Mom and my Grandma Schultz also loved her. Whenever Grandma would come to visit, time with MarJean was one of her highlights and joys. The humor traded was so cute . . . they had so much fun together. "Grammie" I will never forget you. Your bright smile lit up a room. You were ready for your wings, but our hearts was not. Rest on grammie. No more pain, I will always love you. I want to thank my Eggleston family for bringing me into the family.. Until we meet again I love you.

Dear Andrews Family, Our loss is Heavens gain but I am certain you and all MarJean's extended family now have a special angel to watch over us and keep us safe and smiling as she always has. Our world is a.little better place because MarJean was in it, so be strong and keep her wonderful fun loving spirit alive!

To the Andrews family you have my deepest sympathy in loss of your Mom. I work with MarJean at Shullsburg Home she was so much fun to work with. When we would be schedule together all heck would break out and all we could do was laugh. She was a very nice lady and am glad I got to know her. I Know my Aunt Jean Edge will sure miss her.
