Randall M. "Randy" McAloon, 58, of Waukesha, WI formerly of Shullsburg, WI passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 as the result of a heart attack at his home. He was born in Darlington, WI on February 5, 1958 the son of Paul V. and Miriam L. (Rector) McAloon. Randy was a 1976 graduate of Shullsburg High School. He then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering. He used that degree to pursue a lifelong career as an engineer.Surviving him are his siblings; Lynne Oellerich of Maricopa, AZ, Paula (Jim) Teasdale and Mark (Eva) McAloon both of Freeport, IL, Susan (Tim) Decker of Inver Grove Heights, MN, and Tim (Tracey) McAloon of Loves Park, IL; five nieces and four nephews; seven great nieces and three great nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Miriam on Oct. 11, 2006, Father Paul on Sept. 30, 2007, one infant brother: Paul, and his Brother-in-law: Bruce Oellerich on March 7, 2016.Randy was an avid reader. He also enjoyed following the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, and Milwaukee Brewers.A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) with Rev. Joji Reddy of St. Matthew's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Randy's name.

I did not know Randy but I remember Tim and I graduated with Tracey. It's never easy to lose a family member under any circumstances. My heart aches for the family to lose, after just 58 short years, your precious loved one, Randy, way too young, way too soon. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you a beautiful scripture where Jesus makes us a wonderful promise at John 5:28, which says: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." . Our heavenly father promises us to do away with man's worst enemy, death at Rev. 21: 3,4 which reads: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say, "Look! "The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them." John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day."
