Obituary
Diane R. Jorgenson, age 65 of Wiota, WI passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Darlington, WI. She was born January 12, 1951 in Monroe, WI the daughter of R. Martell and Lucille (Johnson) Jorgenson. Diane graduated from Darlington High School in 1970 and later went on to become a certified child care provider. She lived in Wiota on the family farm her entire life. Diane was involved in child care for over forty years. Diane is survived by two siblings: David Jorgenson and Judy (William) Russell both of Wiota; six nieces and nephews: Harold (Julie) Russell, Karen Washington, Marcel Russell, Jason Russell, and Joel (Lisa) Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one nephew: Drew Russell. Diane was a very active member of Wiota Lutheran Church and its Women of the ELCA and was a past Sunday school teacher and member of the church council. She loved spending time with family, friends, babysitting her neighbor's children and occasionally helping with in-home care for the elderly. Diane also made craft calendar banners for those near to her. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at Wiota Lutheran Church (6682 State Road 78, South Wayne, WI) with Rev. Mae Jean Zelle officiating. Burial will be in East Wiota Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Wiota Lutheran Church and from 11:00 A.M. until 11:45 A.M. on Thursday at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Diane's name.
