Beverly Monahan

Beverly A. Monahan, age 77 of Shullsburg, WI passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. She was born December 30, 1938 in Shullsburg Township in Lafayette County, WI, the daughter of Morris and Freda (Ubersox) Monahan. Bev graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1958. She lived in Shullsburg all of her life. Bev worked at John Deere in Dubuque, IA for over nine years and later at Dura Automotive in Stockton, IL for 21 years, retiring on April 28, 2006. Bev went on to work part time at Shullsburg Home cleaning and assisting the residents when needed.Bev is survived by one son: Jay (Marlene) Monahan of Shullsburg; two grandchildren: Kyle and Brittany Monahan; one great-granddaughter: Mylie Monahan; two brothers: Bill "Foxy" (Sharon) Monahan of Dubuque and Terry (Marilyn) Monahan of Platteville, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters: Eva Robelia and Betty Sims. Bev was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg. She loved spending time with her family and watching the Packers.A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Centenary United Methodist Church (226 W. Church Street, Shullsburg) with Rev. Russell J. Paul of Community Free Evangelical Church in rural Shullsburg officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church on Wednesday. The Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is serving the family.
