Donald Weum

Donald L. Weum, age 78 of Monroe, WI formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. He was born April 29, 1939 in Stoughton, WI the son of Percy and Genevieve (Michaelson) Weum. Don graduated from Stoughton High School in 1957. He was united in marriage to Vera E. Taylor on August 3, 1963 in Hillsboro, WI. Don grew up in Stoughton. He joined the United States Army and was stationed in Paris, France until being honorably discharged in July of 1961. Upon his return home, he worked for Terra Engineering and later Capital Underground until retiring. Following his retirement, he worked part-time at Argyle Industries. Don is survived by his wife Vera at home; one brother: Marlowe Weum of Eerie, PN; and his honorary son: Stan (Jodi) Granberg of Argyle and their family: Lucas (Becky) Granberg, Aaron (Kari) Granberg, Jody Granberg and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Parker, Dennis, and Warren Weum; and two sisters: Charlene Lee and Gloria Brumfield. Don was a model railroad enthusiast and was a very active antique tractor puller. He cherished the time he spent with his wife and friends creating memories that will stay with them forever. Don will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Argyle American Legion Park in Argyle.
