Kenneth Wood

Kenneth M. Wood, age 40 of Janesville, WI passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his home. He was born April 23, 1977 in Monroe, WI the son of Kenneth Wood and Rose (Bond) Sudo. Ken graduated from Monroe High School in 1995. He grew up in Monroe and has lived in Lake Mills, WI, Janesville, WI and Beaver Dam, WI. Ken is survived by his father: Kenneth Wood of Beaver Dam; one son: Michael Butler of Prairie du Chien, WI; one daughter: Kierra Shannon-Wood of Janesville; four brothers: Matthew Gilbertson of Janesville, Adam (Crystal Murray) Gilbertson of Prairie du Sac, WI, Michael Starry of Oshkosh, WI, and Shawn (Hope) Starry of Freeport, IL; one sister: Glenda (Daniel Baumgartner) Smith of Warren, IL; and his special friend: Shilo Schneider of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his mother: Rose Sudo; maternal grandparents: Glenn (Betty) Bunting; step-mother: Helen Wood; and one sister: Joy Maupin. Ken had a knack for photography and could always capture a beautiful picture. He enjoyed feeding animals, camping, working on cars and was always willing to help out a friend. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Peace Church of Christ in Browntown, WI.
