Kathleen Davison

Kathleen Townsend Harty Davison, age 92 of Shullsburg, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2017 at her home in Shullsburg. She was born February 19, 1925 in Shullsburg, the daughter of Frank and Anna (McCarty) Townsend. Kathleen graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Chuck Harty in 1946 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg. In 1975, Kathleen married Maynard Davison. She lived in Shullsburg most of her life, with the exception of living in Hanover, Il for seven years and in Platteville, WI for twelve years, returning to Shullsburg in 1992. Kathleen is survived by four children: Kevin (Ken Dowe) Harty of Dubuque, IA, Coleen Harty of Shullsburg, Kerry Harty of Madison, WI, and Callen (Brian Wild) Harty of Monona, WI; six grandchildren: Lauri Harty, Lisa Hesseling, Mary Wedige, Nicole Bayse, Jeremy Harty, and Michael Harty, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her son Loras Michael Harty, four brothers: Bergen, Edwin, Lyle, and Phil Townsend; and four sisters: Avene Townsend, Gen Gile, Evelyn Bradt, and Marge Reed.Kathleen was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Along with raising her four children, she was always available to donate her time and energy to others. Later in her life she enjoyed playing Yahtzee, doing crossword puzzles, and playing solitaire.Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church (344 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is serving the family.
