Obituary
Bonnie Jeanette Kraus, age 90 of Argyle, WI passed away June 27, 2017 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. She was born April 6, 1927 in Argyle Township in Lafayette County, WI the daughter of Lawrence and Sylvia (Horner) Hendrickson. Bonnie attended Brennan Rural School in Argyle Township until 8th grade and then went to work on the family farm. She was later united in marriage to Wilbert Kraus. After raising her family, Bonnie moved into the village of Argyle to care for her parents and grandchildren. Later, she took care of other Argyle children and worked many years at the Norseman Supper Club in town. At other times, Bonnie's home was filled with family and friends playing an assortment of games and frequently baking many goodies. Bonnie was a lifetime member of Argyle United Methodist Church where she was the secretary and treasurer and often participated in many other church functions and organizations. She often made items for the church bazaar including handstitched quilts she made with her aunt Hazel Hendrickson. Bonnie is survived by her children; Larry (Ruth Moen) Kraus, Carol Kraus, and Steven Kraus all of Argyle; grandchildren: Eric (Laleh) Pink, Charlene (Joe) Dutresne, Teena (Adam) Buholzer, Travis (Katie) Moen, Tim Lattin, Troy (Rachel) Lattin, Sarah (Fred) Bolen, and Theresa (Billy) Watters; her great-grandchildren: Mackenzie (Adam) Haines, Dalton Watters, and Emily Bolen; her brother and sister-in-law: Herbert (Lyla) Kraus; and numerous cousins including Minnie Hendrickson and Bob Hendrickson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one very special aunt: Hazel Hendrickson. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee Street, Argyle) with Chaplin Magi Wehner of St. Croix Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Bonnie's name. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Lafayette Manor and the St. Croix Hospice staff for their compassion and excellent care of Bonnie during her time of need.

Bonnie was always their to help with all the church dinners, auctions etc. She will be misses by many. You are in Heaven now with your loved ones. My sympathy goes out to the family. Kathy Chenous. God Bless you all.

I spent many many nights after school hanging out with Sarah at her grandmas house.. Her grandma was salt of the earth.. and I am so very glad I got to spend so many nights with her.. I am so sorry Teresa and Sarah she will be deeply missed.

When one thinks of the word Faithful...one thinks of Bonnie. She served her church quietly and faithfully for so many years as custodian , treasurer, and member of United Methodist Women. Bonnie was a beautiful person who was not afraid to help anyone. She quietly took care of anyone that needed help. She was the rock of the whole family. Carol cared for her mom as long as she was able to at home. I'm sure Bonnie will be watching over you from above. Heaven has a new very bright star. Sharon Arn
