Grandmother (we all knew she wasn't Grandma) is an amazing memory for so many of us. She made us laugh and challenged us to be thankful for what we had. I can recall often how she would prepare special meals for each of us and always found little ways to show she cared for us. She listened and always made sure we felt welcome alongside her. Today is about sharing how much she made us enjoy life! Nothing can act as a substitute for having her alongside us but know that we will continue to pray in her memory and love you all. Grandmother or Gigi as Austin and JP liked to call her ;0) inspired an incredible energy in all of us. Please take pause and be thankful for one another. Grandfather, we love you and will see you soon. To all who shared in supporting her and one another along these last days, we are greatful--she was and will forever be amongst family. With Love, Michael, Jessica, Austin, and Jackson

Today the world lost one of the most important people in my life and one of my best friends growing up. I will never be able to find enough words to thank you for always being by my side and for everything that you have taught me in life. You made the world a better place with your presence and you helped make me a better person, even while we continued to live almost 2,000 miles apart. There are some people that you are lucky enough to have had in your life that words will never begin to express how big of an impact they have had on you and how special they were to you, but that you know you are forever grateful that they were and feel so blessed to have had them there. One of my favorite pictures I have from my childhood is one where I am staring at Grandma and Grandfather in awe of them, and to this day I still am. Staying married for 62 years and having the kind of relationship that they did makes me strive to be like them everyday and focus on whats important in life. Both Grandma and Grandfather have played such an important role in all of our lives and have touched us all in so many ways. Our family will never be the same but you will forever live on in all of our hearts. We love you and will miss you so much. Love always- Ashley, Matt and Mittens (your favorite grand-kitty!)

Grandmother was an amazing woman and impacted my family's lives significantly. Especially with my mother and father. With my mom because of how amazing Grandmother was at raising her, and because of the cooking recipes she gave to my mom. And my father because she always took his side whenever Grandfather was messing with him. Grandmother was always very caring and compassionate, and never flinched whenever my brothers or I asked for help. She was the best grandmother I could have asked for and my family will always miss her. With love, Walter, Sandy, Logan, Jack, and Aidan.

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Stern's family at this time of loss. Truly you have lost someone who impacted your lives. No wonder the Bible refers to death as an "enemy." It rushes into our lives and robs us of the ones we hold dear. But God promises that soon this enemy will be "brought to nothing." (1 Corinthians 15:26) Hearts will be healed by God's promise of resurrection when our precious loved ones are awaken from God's memory at the call of Jesus' voice. (John 5:28,29) Just knowing that God has the power and desire to fulfill these promises has always comforted me and I hope they serve to do the same for you. Hold on to all your precious memories and may they too bring you comfort and peace.
