Obituary
Marian A. Mullen, age 93 of Darlington, WI passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born in Darlington, March 1, 1924, the daughter of Abner and Nellie (Moses) Mullen. Marian farmed most of her life in Darlington, Shullsburg and Dunbarton areas. She was also employed by Borg Instrument for a number of years. Marian is survived by two nieces: Jean (Mullen) Moore and Mary E. (Geyer) Thiltgen; plus three generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: George, Robert and Leonard Mullen; five sisters: Delva Jentz, Florence Geyer, Evaline Mullen, Elizabeth Lindholm, and Eleanor Mullen; four nephews: Gaylord Jentz, Leroy Geyer, Robert Lindholm, and Rudy Lindholm; and one niece: Mary Yeomans. Marian was devoted to her family and cherished the memories they made together. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg). A graveside service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg with Rev. Russell Paul of Community Evangelical Free Church in rural Shullsburg residing. I will always have fond memories of when we came to Wisconsin during the summer and all got together. We would have a family reunion and either go to someone's farm or had picnics in the park. I was so glad we made the trip to Wisconsin 5 years ago and I was able to see Aunt Marian. Now she is in heaven with all of her brothers and sisters. Thanks Jean and Tammy for all of your trips to Darlington and for taking care of her. She will be missed.

I really enjoyed talking to Marion every Wednesday for her grocery order at Piggly Wiggly. She was such a strong wonderful lady. I was sorry to hear of her passing, but she is pain free. Heaven gained another special person!!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family of Aunt Marion. ,Some of my fondest memories were when we would go to Wisconsin in the summer to be with all the family. The smell of the farm, all the good food, playing cards and other games, ,but most of all just being with family and how happy everyone was to be with each other regardless of any troubles.
