Betty L. McKenna, age 88 of Gratiot, WI passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, WI. She was born April 9, 1929 in Gratiot the daughter of John and Ferne (Lincicum) McGlynn. Betty graduated from Gratiot High School. She was united in marriage to Robert McKenna on August 19, 1950 in Gratiot. Betty lived in Gratiot her entire life where she dedicated 44 working years to Gratiot State Bank and was co-owner of McKenna Trucking in Gratiot with her husband.Betty is survived by her loving husband Robert at home; two daughters: Nancy Larson of Argyle, WI and Donna (Dennis) Breed of Warren, IL; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Robert McGlynn of Gratiot and Charles (Geraldine) McGlynn of Brookfield, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Gordon and James McGlynn; and one sister: Inegene Lisser.Betty was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gratiot and its Council of Catholic Women. She cherished the time she spent with her family attending all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren's activities. Her family and friends will always remember Betty for her generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.A family remembrance will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (5685 Main Street, Gratiot) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Gratiot. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington) where a rosary will be prayed at 4:00 P.M. A visitation will also be held Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the church. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Betty's name.

I grew up going with my Dad to the Gratiot State Bank and Betty was my inspiration to work at a bank. You are a very special lady to me. We never say goodbye we just say see ya later!

One of the nicest ladies I have ever know. Nancy I send hugs and prayers for you and your family. Your Mother was one of my Mothers dearest church ladies friend. They served many funeral dinners. I was so happy to see her at my Mothers funeral. I thought I was cried out till I saw your Mother. Her hug meant so much to me. What a wonderful lady she was. I have so many memories of your Mom from when I stayed overnights with Donna and we would go for our Sunday rides. Those were such fun times that we had. I enjoyed seeing her in at the bank also when I would go in there. Betty and Bob were always so great to me. She will be greatly missed by all.

So very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. Growing up in Gratiot everyone knows everyone and she was a remarkable lady. My fondest memories are from my child hood and seeing her at the bank. She always made the effort to make you feel special as a kid the minute you walked in the door till the time you left. God gained a great angel with Betty! Thoughts & prayers to her family.

I'm so sorry to hear that Betty died. I enjoyed seeing her very much. She was always friendly and upbeat. She was a wonderful asset for Gratiot! I apologize that we're going to miss her wake and funeral. We're leaving tomorrow to visit our son.
