Anne Baumann

Anne I. Baumann, age 80 of rural Blanchardville, WI passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at her home in rural Blanchardville. She was born July 16, 1936 in Lake Villa, IL the daughter of Louis and Irene (Chope) Schwicht. Anne graduated from Antioch High School in Antioch, IL. She was united in marriage to Fritz R. Baumann, her high school sweetheart on May 14, 1955 in Millburn, IL. Anne and Fritz began their life together in Antioch, IL. They later moved to rural Blanchardville where they raised their four sons. She spent most of her working years as a bookkeeper for many local businesses in Wisconsin and Illinois.Anne is survived by her four sons: Kevin F. (Heidi) Baumann of Sun Prairie, WI, Kirk F. (Carolyn) Baumann of Port Tobacco, MD, Kreigh F. Baumann of Postville, WI, and Kristopher F. (Valarie) Baumann of Argyle, WI; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and another on the way; and one sister: Mary (John) Matteoni of rural Blanchardville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fritz; one brother: Howard Schwicht; and one sister: Evelyn Riley. Anne was a member of Millburn Congregational Church in Millburn, IL, Antioch Evangelical Free Church in Antioch, IL, New Glarus Baptist Bible Church in New Glarus, WI, and Faith Evangelical Free Church in Brooksville, FL. Anne enjoyed her daily devotional time with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She cherished her fellowship with her brother and sisters, spending time with her family, traveling between her Wisconsin and Florida homes, and gardening. Anne also enjoyed camping in Hayward. She was a long time officer and member of Adams Homemakers Club. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee Street, Argyle) with Rev. Cal Shaver officiating. Burial will be in Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
