Eileen White

Eileen C. White, age 92 of Madison, WI formerly of Darlington, WI passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born January 1, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Michael and Martha (Kelly) Maloney. Eileen graduated from Darlington High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Glenn H. White on June 5, 1948 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Eileen was raised in rural Darlington where she lived and worked in the area all of her life until moving to Madison in 2016 to be closer to her children. Eileen is survived by her who loving children: Ed (Teri) White of Sussex, WI and Marlene (Ron) Roewer of Middleton, WI; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn in 1993; and one son: Stephen White in 1970. Eileen was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington and its CCW. She was also a proud member of Darlington American Legion Auxiliary and the Historical Society of Darlington. Eileen was an avid gardener, loved to tell stories and be around people, and was extremely proud of her Irish heritage. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially when they traveled mainly in the United States, but was particularly fond of the memories they created as a family when they traveled to Ireland.A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet Street, Darlington) with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:45 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The Steil-Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
