Jeffrey Jamieson, age 66 of Monroe, WI formerly of Shullsburg, WI passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe. He was born March 28, 1951 in Shullsburg, WI the son and only child of Ray and Anna Jamieson. Jeff attended school at St. Matthew School through eighth grade and then went on to Shullsburg High School where he graduated in 1969. Jeff graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville in 1973 with an Educational Degree in History. He taught at Cuba City High School for a time and later a substitute teacher for a number of schools in southwestern Wisconsin. Jeff also worked in sales at Lands End, Inc.Jeff is survived by many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.Jeff was a member of St Matthew Catholic Church and served on the Cemetery Board. Jeff was a member of the Moose Lodge in Monroe where he advanced to the 3rd Degree Fellowship Membership level. He held numerous lodge positions including Lodge Governor. Jeff was loyal Green Bay Packer fan and was an avid golfer.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church (344 N. Judgement St, Shullsburg) with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. at the church. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. For those who prefer, memorials may be given to Monroe Moose Lodge (639 3rd Ave, Monroe, WI 53566).

Jeff was one of my first playmates upon moving to Shullsburg in the early 50's. He lived by my Granny Ryan and Marilyn, Casey and I used to play with Jeff, he'd put up with us girls for just so long, but we had fun!! Friends all through St.Matthews, HS, and always picked up like it was yesterday when our paths crossed over the years. Thanks for the water skiing lessons on Lake Wi. Jeff, had some spills & lots of laughs with it and the many fun memories!! Circumstances don't allow for us to attend your service but you are in our hearts and prayers. You were loved and will be missed, God speed old friend💞 Teri& Ed White

Jeff and I grew up together and shared many good times, such as high school events, cruising in the '66 Mustang, college dorm card games, rock concerts, intense chess matches, PG Ball games, and yes golf. He was in our wedding party and shared in family events with our girls as they grew up. In 1998 Jeff and I made a trip to Beijing China which he so enjoyed. It is with a very broken heart Jeff that I write these words to you. You were one of the first to welcome me to SHS with kindness and lots of laughter. You were always "there" not just for me but for all of us and always with a smile. Dearest Jeff, I have and always will remember you "stepping up" to take me to Junior Prom when my date backed out!!! And I have always remembered how much fun we had!!! It was memorable and yes, I still have our prom photos. It's been so long since we've seen each other but you will always have a special place in my heart. It is with much love, much sadness, many tears, many prayers that we send you to Heaven. I wish to express my sincerest sympathy to the Jamieson family and friends because of losing Jeff recently in death. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."
