Obituary
Harold D. Schwartz, 73 of Camanche, IA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Alverno Care Center in Clinton, IA surrounded by his family. He was born in Darlington, WI to Bernard and Mary Schwartz. Harold graduated from Darlington High School, class of 1962. He married the love of his life, Judith Robertson on May 1, 1965 in Darlington. They shared 51 great years together. Harold was extremely loving and proud of his daughter Tina and fiancé Keith Manning of Camanche. He is survived by his daughter: Tina (Keith Manning) Schwartz; one brother: Richard "Dick" (Joann) Schwartz of Evansville, WI; one brother-in-law: James (Marlene) Robertson of Camanche; two sisters-in-law: Bonita "Bonnie" Robertson of Argyle, WI and Wendi (Steven) Reichling of Darlington, WI; several nieces and nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Judi on June 6, 2016; one sister: Eunice (Louie) McWIlliams; two brothers: Jerry (Shirley) Schwartz and Bernard Schwartz; and brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Beverly Robertson. Harold was a loving husband, father, uncle, and friend to all.Harold worked for Howery Machine Co. in from 1962 - 1980. He relocated to Camanche where he began working at Clausen Supply Company at Lyondell in Clinton until his retirement. He was an avid Green Bay Packer, Wisconsin Badger, and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed reading and doing word puzzles. Harold was always there to help friends and family and loved life to its fullest. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington) with Rev. Angela Utter of Darlington United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. I knew Harold since he came into this world n lived next door to his family n took care of him a lot...never thought when I took him n Judi walking n etc that they would get married. R.I. P. Harold ! You have a whole lot of loved ones waiting for you! love ya n Say Hi to all our,loved ones up there!

I met Harold at the Alverno. I am a cousin to Wilfred Wilken, and the two of them had become good friends. So, often when I visited with Wilfred, I visited with Harold too. I was so sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his friends and family. He was a very nice man. Liz Buech
