L. Gordon "Gordy" Mosley, age 92 of Darlington, WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. He was born November 30, 1924 in Willow Springs Township in Lafayette County, Wisconsin the son of Elmer and Helen (Albertson) Mosley. Gordy graduated from Darlington High School in 1943. He was united in marriage to Anna L. McMahon on November 27, 1947 in Dodgeville, WI. Gordy grew up and lived in Willow Springs Township where he farmed until moving into the city of Darlington in 2005.Gordy is survived by four sons: Gerald Mosley of Jackson, WI, Harold (Sherry) Mosley of Darlington, Dwayne (Laura) Mosley of Hartland, WI, and Ron (Cheryl) Mosley of Darlington; 10 grandchildren: Jeremy (Sarah) Mosley, Jamie (Dana) Mosley, Sarah (Nate) Metzger, Luke Mosley, Ashley (Erik) Van Etten, Jasmine Sandley, Ryan (Jordan) Mosley, Zach (Callie Palan) Mosley, Chloe (Brian Weber) Mosley, and Chase Mosley; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Anna in 2007; one son: Francis Mosley in infancy; and one brother: Paul Mosley. Gordy was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and loved to go dancing at Turner Hall in Monroe, WI. Gordy cherished his family and the memories they created together. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A Time of Family Remembrance will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet Street, Darlington) with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Gordy's name.

Dear Gerald, Harold, Duwayne, Ron and your families. We are very sorry to learn of your father's death. We wish we could attend the service on Saturday, however, we are hosting our thanksgiving that day and unfortunately we won't be able to be with you. To: Gerald, Harold, Dwayne, Ron and all families. It was a shocker to get Gerald's email early this morning. little did we expect this. I'm so glad I called U. Gordy just a few weeks ago, as it was a pleasure hearing his voice as always. As we look back, the 2010 and 2015 McMahan reunions will be even more special since we were able to see and visit with him at both. As a kid growing up I so enjoyed my time on the farm and/or at the family gatherings at Grandpa and A. Laura's home in Dodgeville. I can hear his "cackle" in my mind as I'm typing here!!! He has now joined his wife, our A. Anna and son Francis after all these many years. We too won't be able to attend as well but, be assured our thoughts and prayers are with you ALL now & especially on Saturday. God Bless - Love, Bob n Sue and families here in NC. and VA.

Spencer Mosley My brothers, Harvey & Merle, and I enjoyed the occasions when our parents (Floyd & Carol) visited Gordy & Anne -- and cousins Gerald, Harold, Dwayne & Ron. Fond memories, all. My mom & Gordy shared the same birthday and many were the time in the past several years when the two of them would happen to see each other downtown & smile & fondly relate that coincidence. Gordy & my dad shared a similar 'Mosley' laugh & sense of humor -- and their laughter was very contagious. Though sad to have lost them, we'll always have the memories of their laughable enjoyment of the 'moment'. Our sincere thoughts to you boys. God Bless.

So sorry to learn of Gordy's passing. Another old friend and neighbor gone. Stan and Gordy were very good friends growing up on the old Paper School neighborhood. My sincere sympathy to all the family. Marion Howard
