Obituary
Robert M. "Mick" Meyer, age 76 of Mineral Point, WI formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Mineral Point. He was born October 27, 1941 in Monroe, WI the son of Robert and Irene (Anderson) Meyer. Mick graduated from Blanchardville High School in Blanchardville, WI. He lived in the Argyle and Blanchardville areas his entire life. Mick is survived by two sisters: Susan (Charles) Putney of Verona, WI and Patricia (John) Olivas of Litchfield Park, AZ; one brother: Bruce Meyer of Port Heron, MI; one niece; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mick joined the National Guard where he served for two years. He loved hunting, watching the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and always enjoyed a good card game. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. I have wonderful memories of visiting my cousin Mick and his family when they were farming. A town kid who got to experience most aspects of farming while having a great time with his cousins. They would invite me out for the day and I would stay for a week. Mick had a kind heart and a special sense of humor. Steve Meyer

I am so sad to read this. Mick has been a lifetime friend. When he called to tell me he was going to the home in Mineral Point, all he wanted was for me to bring him alittle Korbel for old times sake, and a good Rummy game. I left for Florida on January 3rd, and I told him I'd see him when I returned in March. The little 'bugger; said "I'll see you then:! I have been very fortunate to have Mickie as a lifelong friend, and that's truly what he was...a TRUE FRIEND! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you! He LOVED talking about all his siblings did for him as well as the accomplishments of his nieces and nephews.
