Vianne Larvey-Appell, age 57 of Belvidere, IL formerly of Shullsburg, WI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born November 17, 1960 in Lakewood, CA the daughter of Ronald and Myrna (Fischer) Larvey. Vianne grew up in Shullsburg until she was in the 6th grade. She moved to Minocqua, WI where she lived until she was a junior in high school when they moved back to Shullsburg where she graduated High School in 1978. She was united in marriage to Bruce Appell on May 24, 1986 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg. Following their marriage, Vianne and Bruce moved to Belvidere, IL where they raised their family and have resided since. Vianne is survived by her husband Bruce at home; her mother: Myrna Larvey of New Milford, IL; two daughters: Kaylla Appell and Chantel Appell of Belvidere; one grandson who she adored: Milez Garrison-Appell; and two sisters: Faye Larvey of Rockford and Rhonda (Damon) Woody of New Milford. She was preceded in death by her father Ronald; one niece: Erika Petrowski; her paternal grandparents: Charlie (Ida) Larvey; and her maternal grandparents: Harold (Lillian) Fischer. Vianne cherished her family, especially her daughters and grandson and the memories they created together more then anything in the world. She would often times make costumes for her children for Halloween or other occasions. Vianne enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes, gambling at the casino, soaking up the sun on the beach or by the pool, and was always singing anything and everything. She loved to spend time outside in her garden tending to her plants that may or may not have lasted very long. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church (344 N. Judgement St., Shullsburg) with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Vianne's name.

I remember Vianne as a super mom who loved her daughters dearly. I specifically remember how much she loved making costumes at Halloween and her infectious laugh. I was a teacher at Perry when the girls were little and Vianne worked there. I ran into the family at a Westfield WI Mobil last month and wasn't sure if it was them because I was looking for Vianne. You were always so good to people and a very good listener you were a good friend I will miss you my friend I take comfort in knowing that you did not suffer and that you had no plans on leaving so soon you were looking forward to watching your grandson Miles grow up and loving your family for another decade at least you were a beautiful and funny friend I will miss you deeply my friend

Vianne was not only my coworker but my friend. I loved our shopping sprees,playing hooky from work to catch some sun,and just talking. I will miss you dearly my friend. You will be forever missed from your family and friends. I will always remember the day you rode on the bike with me,that was hilarious. Miss you my friend and love you forever.
