Allene L. Acherman, age 79 of Darlington, WI, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Lafayette County Manor in Darlington. She was born July 24, 1938 in Wauwatosa, WI the daughter of Ernest and Hazel (Bowen) Cox. Allene graduated from Boscobel High School in Boscobel, WI. She was united in marriage to Francis J. Acherman on June 21, 1958 in Dubuque, IA. Allene lived in various cities throughout her life settling in Truman, WI in 1972. She worked at Lands End in Dodgeville, WI where she worked in the embroidery department.Allene is survived by her husband Frank at home; five children: Paul Acherman of Platteville, WI, Larry Acherman of Silver Springs, MD, Dawn (Thomas) Arneson, Nancy (fiancé: Joey Wiegel) Acherman, and Brian (Christina) Acherman all of Darlington; six grandchildren: Jason and Hannah Furman, Alyssa and Haden Kilcoyne, and Emilee and Jordan Acherman; one brother: Otto (Carolyn) Cox of Appleton, WI; two sisters: Leona (Charles) Lederman of Monroe, WI, and Evadean (Gary) "Red" Sanders of Arizona. She was preceded in death by: her parents; one sister: Carolyn Robinson; and two grandchildren: Kyle and Tyler Kilcoyne.Allene was a member of the Truman Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a member of its CCW. She enjoyed working at the Kendall Township election polls. Allene spent time as a secretary for Frank's TV in Darlington. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren creating memories that will last a lifetime. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Truman Immaculate Conception on Catholic Church (20984 County Z, Kendell Township, Darlington) with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be held in Holy Rosary Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington) and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'd like to share some real hope with you. In Psalms 146:4 tells the condition of the dead. In Acts 24:15 the bible promises a resurrection of our loved ones back to earth. When Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, he brought him back to earth. He's going to do that on a much larger scale in the future. In Psalms 37:11++29 says man will live forever on the earth in peace. That was God's original purpose, for Adam and Eve to live forever in the garden of eden. God's purpose hasn't changed. In Isaiah 45:18 says God created the earth to be inhabited. That's why he gave his son to die for us, John 3:16, so we could have everlasting life. In Revelation 21:4 says there'll be no more pain or death. Since there's no pain or death in heaven, those are future conditions on earth under God's kingdom arrangement. JW.org.

I am so saddened to see this. I worked with Allene at Lands End, we worked side by side cutting out logos and I learned a lot from her. She had some amazing stories to tell and taught me a few lessons about life too :) We tried to stay in contact through the years, but like always life happens. The last time I seen her, we ran into each other at Kmart and we talked for nearly 2 hours :) She will be missed dearly and I will always have her guidance she taught me to remember her by. My condolences to her family.
