Kelly E. Fox, age 60 of Darlington, WI passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home in Darlington. She was born April 4, 1958 in Richland Center, WI the daughter of William and Donna (Randall) Stocks. Kelly graduated from Riverdale High School in 1976. She was united in marriage to Steven P. Fox on September 8, 2001 in Darlington. Kelly grew up in Avoca, WI before moving to Highland, WI where she raised her children. In the early 90's, she began working for the Wisconsin River Trail Transit Commission. In the late 90's, she worked as the Admin. Assistant for the Wisconsin and Southern Rail Road until her marriage to Steve. Kelly also worked at Mineral Point Farmers Saving Bank and later as a medical assistant at Medical Associates in Darlington. Kelly lastly worked in the payroll Dept at Monroe Truck Equipment in Monroe before she retired due to her illness. Kelly is survived by her husband Steve at home; her mother: Donna Stocks of Avoca; her children: Cade Richgels of Thurber, TX, Chelsea (Bob) Smudde of Prairie du Chein, WI, and Emily Fox of Darlington; three grandchildren: Drake, Isabella and Addison Smudde; her mother and father-in-law: Richard (Jean) Fox of Darlington; one brother: Klark (Sue) Stocks of Highland; and one sister: Kay (Rich) Ubrig of Avoca. She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother: Ken Stocks. Kelly cherished her family and the time she spent with them, especially her grandbabies creating memories they will forever keep. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle throughout the tri-state area. Kelly had a knack for baking and was known for her famous baked from scratch chocolate chip cookies. She looked forward to the "Girls Night" where she would get together with her closest friends every couple of months. Kelly will always be remembered as a generous person who had a special place in her heart for the Family Advocate Agency. A Celebration of Kelly's life will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Darlington American Legion (1400 Keep Street, Darlington). The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family. My sympathies for your loss. I am very grateful to have known Kelly and called her my friend. Every time she would make a batch of those famous chocolate chip cookies and bring them to work, she would always set aside a small baggie just for me. She was always thinking of others and willing to help however she could. She will be missed.

Where to start... I've known Kelly for almost 38 years. We met when our boys were babies and quickly became great friends. Over the last 38 years there were times that months could go by without talking to each other but she was always on my mind. She'd stop by my job and we'd catch up. She was one of my closest friends, though to someone who didn't know us, it might not seem that way. I will forever hold her in my heart and hate that I didn't make more of an effort to visit. I will miss her deeply. She was one in a million. Sassy, kind, loving, one of the best bakers, like, ever! and just a great person. Those of us who knew her know this to be true. Rest in peace my friend and when I join you, we will do one up! 😞.

To our boys she was motorcycle Kelly... for our Emma it was all about her scotcheroos... and she will always be my cherished friend... honest, genuine, loyal and courageous... so courageous.
