Thomas Stauffacher

Thomas G. "Tom" Stauffacher, age 78 of Darlington, WI passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. He was born November 8, 1939 in Darlington the son of George and Naomi (Ward) Stauffacher. Tom graduated from Darlington High School in 1958. He was united in marriage to Patricia J. McGranahan on July 25, 1970 in Darlington. Tom lived in the Darlington area his entire life where he worked in the farming industry. Tom is survived by his wife Pat at home; two children: Tina (Steve) Hermanson of Darlington and Scott (Paula) Stauffacher of Roseville, MN; four grandchildren: Zach McGranahan of Darlington, Logan Hermanson of Darlington, Emma and Megan Stauffacher of Roseville; one step-grandson: Dustin Hermanson of Middleton, WI; two sisters: Linda Krueger of Darlington and Mary Ann (Greg) Roelli of Darlington; one brother-in-law: Jack Leu of Darlington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Sandy; two children: Mark Stauffacher and Kelly Jo Stauffacher; one sister: Judith Nyffenegger Leu; one brother: Gary Lee Stauffacher; and two brothers-in-law: Fritz Nyffenegger and Bill Krueger. Tom was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington. He was also a proud member of the Darlington Country Club and Fayette Sno-Goers. Tom loved to watch the Darlington Redbirds, Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR racing. He also loved to spend time outside golfing, snowmobiling, and taking care of his lawn. Tom cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and the memories they created together more then anything else in the world. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church (1302 Clay Street, Darlington) with Rev. Traci Maass of Wiota Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington) and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church.
