Julia M. "Judy" Byrnes, age 92 of rural Mineral Point, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at her home in rural Mineral Point. She was born October 29, 1925 in Truman, WI the daughter of Patrick W. and Elizabeth (McKeon) McDonald. Judy graduated from Belmont High School and later went on to receive a degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. She was united in marriage to Cletus A. Byrnes on August 12, 1946 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Truman. Judy lived in the Truman area most of her life. Judy is survived by her children: Barb Brown and Mary Jo Reyna both of Shullsburg, WI, Kathy Waul of Madison, WI, Steve (Pauline) Byrnes of Truman, Kevin (Jacky) Byrnes of Madison, Lynnette (Lon) Kramer of Sullivan, WI, Brian (Cindy) Byrnes of Tornado, WV, and Laura (Bruce) Klein of Winona, MN; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers: Pat McDonald, Lawrence McDonald, and Ray McDonald; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Cletus; one grandson: David Brown; four sisters: Kathryn, Teresa, Anna, and Marie; and one brother: James. Judy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Truman and it's Alter Society. She was also a proud member of the Whirly Birds. Judy cherished her family and the time they spent together creating memories they will all remember forever. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Upon Judy's request a private family graveside service will be held for Judy at a later date. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington, WI is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Judy's name.

So sorry to hear of Judy's passing. I only knew her through Homemakers and that her daughter married my husband's cousin Steven Waul. Sorry to all the family. She was a lovely lady and will be missed.

Judy was a beautiful person day in and day out. She and Cletus always welcomed me with open arms and a chuckle. I have missed those times over the past 35 years. May the family receive comfort that her pain has ceased and enjoy those many fond memories from on the farm, the many family gatherings, and at Truman's church. My deepest sympathies. Terry Klein

Judy was a life long friend of my mom . She was a sweet lady and raised a great bunch of kids. When we were growing up they would go back and forth and play cards. And of course us kids tore around and had fun. Always had a great lunch before we went home. Those were the good old days. It is hard to loose a mom but memorys help you to get by. And I feel they will always be there in spirit if you need them.
