Dennis R. "Denbob" Judy, age 55 of Shullsburg, WI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his home in Shullsburg. He was born November 4, 1962 in LaSalle, IL the son of James and Marguerite (McNamara) Judy. Denbob graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1980 and later received his Technical Diploma in autobody repair from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, WI. He was united in marriage to Kelly J. Schunk on January 4, 2009 in Darlington, WI. Denbob lived most of his life in the Shullsburg area and was employed at John Deere Dubuque Works for 15 years.Denbob is survived by his wife Kelly of Shullsburg; his father: James (Claudette) Judy of Peru, IL; his mother: Marguerite Teachout of Sterling, IL; three children: Brian (Christy) Judy of Dickeyville, WI, Emily (Nick) Moris of Fennimore, WI, and Kelly (Adam Wenzel) Judy of Cuba City, WI; three grandsons: Brenden, Owen, and Tyson: his other "four-legged children": Brandy, Chloe, and Cooper; one sister: Mary (Emerson) Royer of Rock Falls, IL; one half-brother: Lucas Tindell of Sterling, IL; one half-sister: Michelle Wright of Peru, IL; six step-siblings: Mark, Tony, Harry, Steve, Deb, and Laura; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his step-father: Keith Tindell; grandparents: James (Lucille) Judy Sr., his grandmother: Emily McNamara; one brother-in-law: Jimmy Wright; and one very special canine friend: Skidder.Denbob's many hobbies included: working on cars, watching the Green Bay Packers, working on cedar chests, gardening, and watching old Western movies. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his three grandsons, creating memories they will all remember forever. Denbob served in the Army National Guard 229th Engineering Company where he served during Desert Storm and reached the rank of Staff Sargent (E5) before being honorably discharged. He was a member of Shullsburg VFW Post # 10533 of Shullsburg.A Celebration of Denbob's life will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement St., Shullsburg) where Military Rites will be accorded by McCann-Richards American Legion Post #105 and Shullsburg VFW Post #10533 of Shullsburg at 2:30 P.M. Denbob was a mans man, You always knew where you stood with him there was no candy coating. Ive had the pleasure of a lot of crazy times with this cat. He always had my back and I his, even when we knew it wasn't gonna end well. Gone to soon but never will be forgotten. Kount

Dennis wasn’t very old when my dad and his mom got together! I grew up with him! He is the one who consoled me when our dad passed away and I couldn’t watch them carry him out to the ambulance! Dennis is my brother in every sense of the word! I love him dearly! Rest In Peace till we meet again little brother!

I'm so very sorry about your loss. We had lots of fun together always there to help anyone. He loved talking to my dad about cars and listing to my dad's jokes.
