Emma A. Colbeck, age 92 of Mineral Point, WI formerly of Darlington, WI passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Mineral Point. She was born December 31, 1925 in Big Lake, MN the daughter of Fred and Marie (Schmidt) Weber. Emma received her G.E.D. from Vocational Technical College in Fennimore WI. She lived in the Darlington area for many years before moving to Lancaster, WI in 1975 and then to Mineral Point in 1980. Emma worked at Borg Instrument in Darlington for 6 years and also was a housekeeper for a number of years before becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant at Mineral Point Care Center from 1980 until her retirement in 1991. Emma really enjoyed caring for others in their time of need even after retirement.Emma is survived by her daughter: Linda Colbeck of Mineral Point; her son: Joseph F. "Rick" Colbeck of Neshkoro, WI; one grandchild; one step-grandchild; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Dorothy Weber of Mineral Point. She was preceded in death by one son: Jay Colbeck; four brothers: Marvin, Burt, Walt, and Arthur Weber; three sisters: Clara Chambers, Hazel Campbell, and Hattie Clark-Moore; and one daughter-in-law: Rosemary Colbeck.Emma was a past member of Fayette United Methodist Church in rural Darlington. She cherished the time she spent with her family creating memories they will all remember forever. Emma loved to collect dolls and antiques. She also proudly sponsored Colbeck's Repair Bowling Team for many years. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington) with Rev. Angie Utter of Fayette United Methodist Church in rural Darlington officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday November 7, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Emma was loved by my mom, me and my children. She came to one of my daughters bithday dressed as a fairy. They've never forgotten. She was very special to us. Sorry for your family's loss. Wendy norton..kathy barrettes daughter. nm
