Elmer Lemke

I had the great fortune of having this man for an assessment class over 40 years ago. His name appeared in the recent ISU alumni magazine under obituaries and I wanted to give my sympathies to his family. He was a wonderful teacher who said things in such a simple and meaningful way! He was known to be a tough and demanding instructor but his students learned the material because of his trust and optimism for his students. We were all blessed who had him as an instructor at ISU.

Just a great man and teacher. We use to joke about how he reminded us of John Wayne because he was tough but fair. I had him for Psych. Measurement class as a graduate student 40 years ago and enjoyed every moment of his classes. My deep condolences to his family on the loss of this wonderful man. Bob Louch-Ryder
