Deborah Foecking

Deborah K. "Deb" Foecking, age 66 of Darlington, WI passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her son's home in rural South Wayne with her family by her side. She was born July 31, 1952 in Hazel Green, WI the daughter of William and Doris (Miller) Richards. Deb attended middle school in Galena, IL and graduated from Scales Mound High School in Scales Mound, IL in 1970 where she was proud to be a baton twirler. After graduating high school Deb attended beauty school in Freeport, IL. She was united in marriage to Jim J. Foecking, Sr. on November 9, 1974 in Galena. Deb is survived by her children: Jim (Stacy) Foecking, Jr. of South Wayne, Renee (Steve Sargent) Foecking of Brodhead, WI, Kelly (Melissa) Foecking and Tonya (Brian) Burbach both of Belmont, WI, and James (Renae) Eversoll of Kent, IL; 18 grandchildren: Taydra, Tori, Lane, Lance, Landan, Nora, Nevaeh, Taylor, Ashley, Easton, Gunner, Halle, Austin, John, Alexus, Jayden, Sierra, and Dominic; her brothers and sisters: Bill (Diane) Richards of Galena, Dan (Holly) Richards of Monroe, WI, Mark Richards of New Glarus, WI, Judy (Ken) Wiegel of Shullsburg, WI, and Luke (Brenda) Richards of Scales Mound; a sister-in-law: Kay Foecking; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Kelly Richards and Jon Richards; a brother-in-law: Lee Foecking; and a sister-in-law: Betty Ann Birkbeck. Deb attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. She enjoyed shooting pool, playing euchre, and loved to watch the Miami Dolphins football team on TV. Deb cherished her family and the memories they created together and always made it appoint to attend her grandchildren's sporting and other extracurricular events at school. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet St., Darlington) with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington) where a prayer service will begin at 3:45 P.M. A visitation will also be held Friday from 10:30 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. at the church. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Croix Hospice in Platteville, WI for their excellent and compassionate care of Deb in her time of need.
