Dorothy Mosley

Dorothy O. Mosley, age 89 of Darlington, WI passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born June 16, 1929 in Dodgeville, WI the daughter of Carl and Gunda (Steen) Olson. Dorothy graduated from Dodgeville High School in Dodgeville in 1947. She was united in marriage to Stanley L. Mosley on June 18, 1947 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Dorothy lived on the farm in Darlington until her husband's death when she moved into the City of Darlington in 1984. She worked at Mac's Café in Darlington and did home care throughout Lafayette County, Wisconsin.Dorothy is survived by her children: Randy (Mary Guthrie) Mosley of rural Darlington and Connie Weber of Monroe, WI; a daughter-in-law: Mary Mosley of Lamont, WI, a son-in-law: Terry Bergum of Monroe; 13 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Stanley in 1983; one son: Gary Mosley in September 2016; one daughter: Janet Bergum in April 2017; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers.Dorothy was a member of Rebecca Lodge in Darlington. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, baking, bowling, attending bowling tournaments, and playing cards. Dorothy cherished her family and the memories they created together. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Lafayette County Christian Church (11560 Center Hill Rd., Darlington) with Rev. Mark Gilberts officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Lafayette County Christian Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
