Delbert Shager

Our Sincere Condolences to Jean and all the Shager Family on Delbert's death. When we last visited the Monroe area during Cheese Days in 2012 we visited with Delbert & Jean on the Square and took a few pictures. I enjoyed playing cards with him at senior center when I could make it he was always there. Always enjoyed bowling against him as we would talk and joke around. Sorry for your loss of your husband and father sending prayers for the family.

That was a very, very nice obituary you wrote about your Dad!! I am sad to hear of his passing on, but I am honored that I got to know him & Jean too thru all these years and was one of his 'card playing' buddies too several years ago. We use to tell jokes, etc, especially when he worked at the 'Wiota Food Schack...that was a cute way of describing that building, it holds alot of memories for many people in the Wiota community, and its' still going strong!!. Thanks for helping all of us remember and cherish the memories we have of the Delbert Shager family. Your Dad always called me the 'wiotaqueen', someone told him that is what my name is on the computer, which is my username, as you are now finding out with this email...we had lots of laughs & I got lots of recipes from your Mom. I, too, loved your Dad!! I had the privilege of being on the Town Board with Delbert for many of his years as Chairman. Always very polite and just the nicest man! He and Jean were a joy to be around,! Special blessings to your Mom and I pray that God will help ease the pain of his loss in the days ahead. Our sympathy to his entire family!!
