Margaret R. Hermanson, age 85 of Darlington, WI passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born July 25, 1934 in Darlington the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Graber) Hendrickson. Margaret graduated from Darlington High School in 1952. She was married three years later to Milton E. "Buddy" Hermanson on May 21, 1955 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington, WI.Margaret and Buddy lived in Seymour township in Lafayette county where they managed and operated the Seymour Corners cheese factory from 1955 to 1986. They later owned and operated the Windy Acres Mink Ranch in Seymour township for 20 years. Margaret moved to Monroe, WI in 2015.Margaret is survived by five children: Cathy (Rick) Christen of Waukesha, WI, Larry (Jeanne) Hermanson of Browntown, WI, Cheri (Charlie) VonGlahn of Belmont, WI, Nancy (Royal) Atkinson of Waukesha, WI and Linda (Eric) Cook of Theresa, WI; 0ne sister: Marianna (Glen) Pendleton of Chesapeake, VA and one sister-in-law: Mary Hendrickson of Darlington; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband April 4, 2004; a granddaughter: Mary Christen; one sister: Elaine (Lee) Furrer; one brother: Joseph Hendrickson, and nieces and nephews. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic church and its Council of Catholic Women. Margaret loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She looked forward to traveling around the country with her family and friends. Margaret was an avid seamstress and enjoyed Bowling in her younger years. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet Street, Darlington, WI) a branch of Our Lady of Fatima parish. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:15 A.M. at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at: www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of my mom's good friend Margaret. Joyce and Margaret always had so much fun together, and when they were with Buddy and Gaylord. I really enjoyed taking them along the Mississippi River to see the fall colors. My sincere condolences to Margaret's family and friends.
