Obituary
On Friday, October 4, 2019 Cindy Lou (Tollakson) Mau went home to be with her Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer. Cindy was born November 11, 1957 in Freeport, IL, the first daughter of Ted and Darlene Tollakson. Cindy graduated Blackhawk high school in 1975 and married her husband Steve Mau on June 21, 1975. They farmed in South Wayne ever since. Cindy most enjoyed tending to her flowers, her beloved cats, and most lovingly, spending time and caring for her six grandchildren, Thomas, Caroline, Jovie, Jack, Ivory and Vince.Cindy is survived by her husband Steve, children Ben (Ellen) Mau of Argyle, Daniel (Crystal) Mau of Monroe, Josh (Alyssa) Mau of South Wayne, and Caitlin Mau, Dubuque, IA. Cindy also leaves her team of sisters and a brother, Debbie (Mike) Mau of Argyle, Marne (Steve) Bechtolt of South Wayne, Kim (Mark) Stalker of Kenosha, Greg Tollakson of South Wayne, Robin (Rick) Nafzger of Monroe, Jodi (Tim) Schliem of South Wayne, and Patty (Todd) Ritschard of South Wayne; and many nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her brother Gary, paternal grandparents Harvey and Blanche (Seffrood) Tollakson and Maternal grandparents Ralph and Helen (Kaiser) Hurst.Cindy was a long-time member of Martintown Community Church in Martintown, WI. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 11:00AM at Martintown Community Church (W8996 Lena St, Browntown, WI 53522) with Kevin Cernek officiating. Burial will be in West Wiota Cemetery in rural Gratiot, WI. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle, WI is serving the family. Susie and Joe Junk So sorry for your great loss of this special Lady. We used to visit a lot when our boys were in school. Also if we ran into each other at a store or if we were just out and about.
