Charles{chuck) was a true friend and was always there for us' We will truly miss him

Chuck was a good man. We will certainly miss him. Our thoughts are with you all.

I remember Chuck very well indeed from Canyon Camp days in the late 50s and early 60s, first as a camper and then as a fellow staff member. His energy - even charisma - as well as solid common sense and a strong sense of humor were just the sort of traits you would expect from an Eagle Scout and BSA leader. Chuck was exceptional. For me, he was one of the first Scouts I met who truly exemplified the challenges and satisfactions of living by the Scout Oath and Law. He was a model, a friend, and just a terrific guy. So many people are better because of his exemplary attitude and a life well lived. Great memories of a terrific man. Chuck made it possible for me to achieve one of my life goals--to drive a marathon. I am shocked and saddened to learn of his death. As I many times reminded him in the intervening years, I still owe you, Chuck.
