Mary Teutschmann

Mary Louise Teutschmann age 89 of Darlington, WI passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 surrounded by her family at the Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born July 14, 1930 in Darlington, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Crowley) Johnson. Mary Louise graduated from Darlington High School in 1948. She lived in Darlington until her marriage when she moved to Blanchardville and later to Rockford, IL where she worked as a clerk in Mauk's Drugstore. In 1962 she moved back to Darlington where she has resided since. In 1965 she began working for Lafayette Manor in Darlington where she retired as an Environmental Supervisor in 1992. On November 20, 1973 she was united in marriage to Fritz Teutschmann.Mary Louise is survived by eight children: Peggy (Don) Davis of Darlington, Mike (Patti) McGowan of Black River Falls, WI, Kay (Dave) Hay of South Wayne, WI, Charm Neeley of Sheldon, IA, Becky (John) Troy of Benton, WI, Pat (Jean) McGowan of Blanchardville, WI, Kelly (Frank) Meier of Darlington and Tim McGowan of Monroe, WI; six step-children: Pat (Kenny) Gratz of Monroe, Mike (Doris) Teutschmann of Shullsburg, WI, Larry (Rose) Teutschmann of Platteville,WI, Tina (Joel) Ames of Lancaster, WI, Tari Weber of Independence, IA, Tami Bailey of Benton and step daughter-in-law: Cindy Teutschmann of Shullsburg: numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister: Pat Tuescher of Darlington; two sisters-in-laws: Mary Lindsey of Darlington, Barb Teutschmann of Shullsburg; two brothers-in-laws: Godfrey Teutschmann of Darlington, Frank (Margaret) Teutschmann of Shullsburg; niece, nephews and a special cousin Ellen Johnson of Darlington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fritz Teutschmann; one son-in-law: Bill Neeley; one granddaughter in infancy: Shana Hay; two step-granddaughters: Michelle Kast and Jenny Fenner; four brothers-in-law: Bill Teutschmann, Jakie Teutschmann, Donald Lindsey and Francis Tuescher, two step children: Sharon Kast and Ted Teutschmann.Mary Louise was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. She was a member of Red Topper Division of the Red Hat Society. She cherished the time she spent with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren creating memories that her family will remember forever.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet Street in Darlington), a Branch of Our Lady of Fatima parish with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. and on Friday from 10:30 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. at the church.
