Robert Reed

Robert Orval Reed, age 57 of rural South Wayne, WI passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at his home. He was born May 22, 1962 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, WI the son of Orval and Leona (Peterson) Reed. Robert graduated from Monroe High School Special Education Program in May 1981. Robert lived and farmed on the home farm with his parents his entire life while also working at GreenCo in Monroe, WI for a number of years. Robert is survived by his parents: Orval and Leona Reed of rural South Wayne; his sister: Rhonda (David) Werren of rural Argyle, WI; his brother: Rodney (Christy Noble) Reed of rural South Wayne; four nieces and nephews: Rachel (Matt) Jenson, Daniel (Ashley Andrews) Werren, Michael (Wendy Wild) Werren, and Kyle (Shanna Martin) Reed; nine great-nieces and nephews: Caleb, Callee, and Carrah Jenson, Wade and Gunnar Werren, Jeremy and Jasper Wild-Werren, Janell Werren, and Jesse Reed. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Merrill and Martha Reed; and his maternal grandparents: Alvin and Mabel Peterson. Robert was a member of Saint Paul's UCC in South Wayne Township. He was a true Packers fan and loved watching Dukes of Hazard on TV. Robert was a loveable and kind fellow who loved hugs and birthday parties and always looked forward to attending Wisconsin Badger Camp every summer. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic a private family funeral service will be held at the Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle, WI (801 Milwaukee St., Argyle) with Pastor Kevin Cernek officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle, WI is serving the family.
