Obituary
Erich G. Thuer, age 69, passed away on June 6, 2020. He was born on October 13, 1950 in Austria. He grew up in Chicago, IL, worked and raised his family in Missouri, and finally retired to Argyle, WI. Erich is survived by his daughters: Lisa and Sara Thuer; sister: Maria Salvador (Carlo); niece: Karoline (TJ) Salvador Dean; nephew: Kristofer Salvador; great nephews: Kellen and Sean Salvador. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolf and Magdalena Thuer. Erich was president of Theta Chi Fraternity and a Lions Club member. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid soccer, St. Louis Cardinal and Green Bay Packer fan, a lover of history and horses, a writer of songs, a dedicated educator and principal, and a humble giving member of community. He will be fondly remembered and missed by many.A memorial fund has been established in Erich's name. Please send all contributions to the Argyle Lions Club.

I remember my first interaction with Mr. Thuer. Our daughter Amanda had just started kindergarten and was called to the office after lunch. She told me when she got home, so I called him to see what happened and he told me that she had cleaned up the area she was sitting at and then helped clean some other areas so he gave her some candy :) Then when she was in the 6th grade he convinced her to join cross country(making her the only girl) and their bond grew even more. He will be truly missed

He was my principal in kindergarten, and my teacher 6th-8th grade, also basketball and cross country coach. I never forgot about him and have thought about him often since then. I graduated 8th grade in 2008, but he was and always will be one of my favorite teachers. ❤

I knew Eric durning high school. We were very good friends and a very sweet person. I just found out about his passing. I am very sorry for his daughters and families loss. He will be greatly missed. Leslie Appleby

Wow… Erich… I am truly sadden to see you had past . I was trying to contact our former college soccer players to make a good showing at Parsons College 50Th reunión. We shared 3 amazing years on and off the field, even if you were a Theta Chi! I had just seen your photo here and you hadn’t changed much…maybe a little grayer, but who hasn’t.
