Karen Reichling

Karen A. Reichling, age 73 of Darlington, WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. She was born May 11, 1947 the daughter of John and Melva (Austin) Bloom. Karen grew up in Platteville, WI and graduated from Platteville High School. She married the love of her life, Don Reichling on March 21, 1964 in Platteville. After Don got out of the service, the two of them moved to Darlington where they raised their family and have resided since. Karen is survived by her husband Don at home; her children: Jim (Sally) Reichling, Tim Reichling, Dan (Cindy) Reichling, and Tanya (Casey) Horne; her grandchildren: Cheryl (Alex) Reichling - Clement, Heather (Ricky) Reichling, Allison Horne, Brady Horne, and Cooper Horne; two sisters: Marlene Bloom and LaVonne Rice; and two sister-in-laws: Cheryl Bloom and Pauline Trickel. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Bud Bloom and Keith Bloom. Karen was a part of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its CCW. She loved bowling, crocheting, and gambling specifically at the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, IA. Karen was known as an excellent cook by her family and her friends. She cherished the time she spent with her family creating memories they will all remember forever. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington). A private family funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E Harriet St, Darlington) with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating.
