Don L. Reichling, age 75 of Darlington, WI passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at his home in Darlington. He was born July 27, 1944 in Dodgeville the son of Leo and Fay (Crippen) Reichling. Don grew up on the family farm in the Darlington area and he graduated from Darlington High School. He married the love of his life, Karen A. Bloom on March 21, 1964 in Platteville. After Don got out of the service, the two of them moved to Darlington where they raised their family and have resided since.Don is survived by his children: Jim (Sally) Reichling, Tim Reichling, Dan (Cindy) Reichling, and Tanya (Casey) Horne; his grandchildren: Cheryl (Alex) Clement - Reichling, Heather (Ricky) Reichling, Allison Horne, Brady Horne, and Cooper Horne; One sister: Pauline Trickle; three sisters- in- law: Lavonne Rice, Marlene Bloom, Cheryl Bloom. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Karen on June 26, 2020; his brothers: Peter Reichling in 2019 and Kenneth Reichling in 1947; and one brother-in-law: Boyd Trickle in 2007.Don was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. He worked for Advance Transformer in Monroe for over 35 years. In his younger years he had a passion for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends and going to the casino for a getaway with his wife, Karen. He was a number one Elvis Presley fan, collecting memorabilia and listening to all of his music. Don was a loyal Packers and Brewers fan. Don cherished the time he spent with his family and made memories that will carry on for years to come.A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 9:00AM-10:45AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet St., Darlington). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM following the visitation at the church with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery where military graveside rites will be accorded by Bates-O'Brien-Wiegel-Howe-Roelli American Legion Post #214 of Darlington. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Don's name.Although not required, it is the recommendation of the funeral home staff that masks are worn during the duration of your visit inside of the church and that you practice proper social distancing guidelines.

During my teenage years I spent all my summers with Donny and Karen. Babysitting the kids while they worked. We had loads of fun, everything from bowling, playing cards to taking me to see Kenny Rodgers in concert and bringing me back Elvis memorabilia from Graceland. I don't know if you or Karen ever knew how much you meant to me. You always treated me like one of your own and with Donny family always came first. You were a great husband, wonderful father and grandfather and an awesome uncle. I am happy you are now with the one you love once again. I will sincerely miss you both. Until we meet again!!

I have many fond memories of Don and Karen from the era of Advance in particular in the Stamping Department where both were longtime employees. Don was a set-up man and Karen was the Clip Assembly Press operator and both were very dedicated associates and we were lucky to have gotten to know them. My condolences to the family and friends. R.I.P. Don and Karen, together always!

Don was one of our first press set-up men at Advance Transformer in Minroe. He and his wife Karen were always excellent people who always showed up for work ready and eager to go. I have many, many fond memories of Don while setting up presses.
