Lori Hackett

Lori Lynn Bernet (Hackett) of Stoughton,WI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison,Wisconsin. Lori was born on June 21st, 1962 in Monroe,WI to Daniel and Betty Bernet (Ayen). She grew up on her family's farm in Blanchardville,WI where she graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1980. Lori would later call Boscobel and Stoughton,Wisconsin her homes.Lori was fun loving with an infectious laugh and a smile that would bring life to an entire room. Lori's presence and personality were vivacious and impossible to forget. Lori was an excellent cook. There wasn't a recipe she couldn't make her own with a "little bit of this and that". She took great pride in summer gardening from vegetables to flowers. She also enjoyed sunny Saturdays boating. She loved her family and friends fiercely. She will be greatly missed.She is survived by David Hackett, her husband of almost 25 years; Daughter Kimberly (John Valenzuela); Son Mark Roethke; Grandchildren Addyson and Riven Valenzuela; Siblings Aaron and Randy Bernet; Father Daniel Bernet and countless friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her mother Betty Bernet.A visitation will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee St., Argyle). For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Lori's name.At the family's request, due to Wisconsin's public health mandate, masks are to be worn during the duration of your visit inside of the funeral home.
