Obituary
Donald C. "Don" Flesher, age 90 of Darlington, WI passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. He was born April 17, 1930 in Seymour Township in Lafayette County, WI the son of John and Ila (Huntington) Flesher. Don lived in the Darlington area his entire life. He married the love of his life Ramona J. Mill on November 25, 1950 at Darlington United Methodist Church in Darlington. Don worked as a mechanic his entire life at both Ostby Garage and Glendenning Redi Mix in Darlington. Don is survived by his wife Ramona of Darlington; his children: Lana (Phillip) Bryson, Ronald N. (Rita) Flesher, and Barbara Jean (Scott) Siegenthaler all of Darlington, Jack (Joni) Flesher of Brodhead, WI, and Lisa (Jack) Sauer of Darlington; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister: Phyllis Blackbourn of Cuba City, WI; and his beloved cat: Rusty. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister: Joyce Hinkins. Don was a member of Darlington United Methodist Church in Darlington, a 50-year member of Evening Star Lodge #64 of Darlington, and a former member of Darlington Fire Department. Don cherished his family, especially grandchildren and the memories they created together. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and always enjoyed a good conversation with his friends. Don was a veracious reader enjoying all different types of books. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A public visitation will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington). A private family memorial service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Angela Utter of Darlington United Methodist Church in Darlington officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Don's name. Due to Wisconsin's public health mandate, masks are to be worn during the duration of your visit inside of the funeral home and that you practice proper social distancing guidelines.

To the entire Flesher family, so sorry to here of Don's passing . May he enjoy the company of those that have gone before him. Chris and I extend our heart felt condolences. I had lots of good memories of working with him at Ostby Motors and all the fun we use to have "after working hours". If it wasn't for Don encouraging me to ask Clayton Ostby for a job at Ostby Motors at the tender age of 15, I may have chosen a different career path, he taught me lot in the twelve years we worked together and we are sadden by his passing as you all are. My sincere sympathy to all the family on Don's passing. Another cousin gone. I remember as a child our families would often visit back and forth, as well as family reunions. Don was always friendly and a good visitor. He will be missed.
