David Jamiska

David James "Dave" Jamiska, age 53 of Gratiot, WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 2, 2020 at his home. He was born June 18, 1967 in Wauwatosa, WI the son of James and Renee (Berube) Jamiska. Dave grew up in Eau Claire, WI where he graduated from Eau Claire North High School. He was united in marriage to Tammie Evenstad on July 28, 2017 at Saint Paul's Church in South Wayne, WI. Dave has spent the past couple of years as the maintenance supervisor at the Shullsburg School District where he created and formed many lasting memories with both staff and students. Dave is survived by his wife Tammie; his parents: James and Renee Jamiska of Menominee, WI; his step-children: Taryn (Tyler) Black, Tatum (Dakota Meier) Evenstad, Taylor (Chloe Hinderman) Evenstad, and Tanner (Macie Stauffacher) Evenstad all of Darlington; one sister: Rachel (Wade) Erickson of Somerset, WI; and two special nieces: Hannah and Mara Erickson of Somerset.Dave was a member of Saint Paul's Church in South Wayne. His soul was filled with the love for his family, friends, dogs and horses. Mabel, his horse of thirty years, carried him through many miles of life. Dave and Mabel's connection were uniquely divine and inspirational to others. Dave enjoyed horsemanship, riding, camping, campfires and spending time with family and friends. He told stories they will remember forever. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered forever. A celebration of Dave's life will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 1pm at the Wakanda Pavilion in Wakanda Park in Menominee, WI. A family burial will be held in Iron River, WI at a later date.
