Ruth Ann Flanagan, aged 85, of Argyle, WI passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1940, in Darlington, Wisconsin, the cherished daughter of Charles Vivian Ranum and Vera Lulu Willis Ranum. On October 27, 1972, she married her Irishman, John Flanagan, beginning a lifelong partnership blessed with enduring affection. They farmed in rural Argyle for many years together.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Bob (Deb) Golackson of Kentucky, Cheryl Golackson of Brodhead, WI, Tom (LouAnn) Golackson of Argyle, Don (Amy) Golackson of Monroe, WI, Mike (Lisa) Flanagan of Woodford, WI, Mark (Wendy) Flanagan of rural Argyle, Shelly (Lentz) Wolf of Monroe. Ruth is also survived by many grandchildren, siblings, family and friends, who held a special place in her heart.

We just heard about Ruth’s passing 💔 we played euchre with her in New Glarus and Monroe and really enjoyed her sweet disposition and sometimes quick, witty comebacks. She adored her family and was so proud of dairy farming and the son who continued to farm although she worried about him working so hard. We will remember Ruth very kindly! I'm so sorry to hear of Ruth's death. I remember her as a longtime friend, on the farm, our homes in Argyle , our love of flowers , and sharing wine at the apartment in Twining Valley. She will be missed. Anna Keough
